Hey!
My cousin and I started a clothing line three years ago and it has more of an urban/punk feel to it. Of course most of us know that marketing can be a pain in the ass especially for me because I'm just getting into it.
I was thinking that it'd be best to give our shirts to a few local stores, most of our shirts to on-line stores, and then a few for ourselves. But then my cousin disagrees with the idea because he thinks we will lose money that way since it won't do any good of getting people to buy our shirts. My cousin suggested that we should do it all on our website, which is up and running but we're not getting a lot of sales from it.
The reason why I suggested that we should give our shirts to local stores and different online stores is mainly because it will get our name out there.
So my question here for you all is: Do you think my idea is the best way to go? Or are there any other marketing strategies that I could use to get our name out there.
