Marines or Army please answer this i've asked before but i really need to know?

Alright. I'm 17, 5'6", and 145 pounds. After high school i plan on choosing a career in the military. I want to be a tanker, M1 Abrams crewman, and they drive the abrams tanks in the army and the marines.

Also there is one thing that really bothers me. I want to be able to drive a tank but i have bad vision. I wear contacts because i'm nearsighted, and i have astigmatism in my right eye. you have to have correctable vision of 20/20 and i have terrible vision.

will the army let you get PRK?
will the marines let you get PRK?

just please someone help me out, this bothers me so much, it's something i really want to do and i don't wanna have it taken from me.

also, i know you can't wear contacts in basic and stuff, but will they let you have contacts after basic is over? like in real war
i'm just tryin to get opinions from real marines who have had prk and joined the tank crew. before i call a recruiter.
 
Why are you asking this on Y!A, when you could just call a recruiter...which you'll have to do soon, anyway?

I had PRK. My neighbor had PRK. My friend across the street had it too. One had it during active duty. One had it before, and didn't tell it on his med Hx. One told about it. All are Marines, today.
 
you can get it in either. and you really dont want to wear contacts in the field. hygiene issue.
while in garrison though you can wear contacts.
