I want to do an ROTC program and eventually become a Infantry Officer. I want to be with the men and fight, not be behind a desk. I have a one friend who is doing Army ROTC and one who is doing Marine Corps ROTC. The Army orientation was all the guys in the unit went to a water park. The Marine Corps orientation was hard and exhausting training to the max. The Marine Corps has higher expectations and has higher physically demanding restrictions. After a little research there is a lot of people saying that the Marine Corps gets worse equipment. The Marine Corps sounds much harder, more demanding, and like you would get a ton more out of it; however, many people say that they are just about the same. Which one would be right for me?
Are they just about the same?
