...3rd phase, a recruit...? is practically a Marine and all that is really left is the PFT and final inspection, how many of u agree? the crucible should follow right after second phase. u ask me, the Marine Corps needs restructuring because amphibious warfare is a thing of the past
 
I'm sure you have much more experience on this topic than the Generals, the Commandant, the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Pentagon, who like it the way it is.

If your experience is not quite up to the above level, perhaps you should shut your pie hole and let the grown ups make the decisions.
 
You are right that the amphibious assault is a thing of the past, the helicopter and accurate airborne delivery ensures that.

But three weeks of basic one way or the other doesn't make any difference.
