Hi,
I'm wondering, and i know how broad medicine is but which one would be best to go into out of these 3 in terms of our economy and being guaranteed a fairly stable position in, because i know nowadays everything is very limited due to the economic crisis and other factors.

I find these 3 very interesting

Also if you could give me alot more information about these I would greatly appreciate it

Thanks

Wow. Interesting options.

When you spend so much time getting the training for these professions, it's pretty important to be sure that you actually enjoy what you do.

Locate forums for each of these areas and find out exactly what each of these professionals actually do each day. A lot of people believe that physicians spend the bulk of their time in a 'Marcus Welby' environment, where they speak to patients and give them advice all day. The fact is that physicians spend a tremendous amount of their time documenting what they do, and in large part, spend more time in tedious reviews of data and documentation of their interpretations than in patient contact.

Dentists are somewhat different. There is not as much documentation, but I know a number of Dentists who wish they could change their profession, complaining they spend too much time on billing and gaining approvals to perform procedures.

Also: the actual daily enviroment. A marine biologist will likely spend a fair amount of time at sea and away from home, altough there are a lot of land based jobs as well.

While the financial rewards are important, they should not be your deciding factor. However, I would rank physician first, with an understanding that the 'employed' model is more prevalent than the independant practitioner these days, followed by dentist, then marine biologist.

I suggest you consider pharmacist. There is a lot more to pharmacy than the retail druggist counting by fives.
