After a discussion at work I was wondering what RAB people might think.

I think Marilyn Monroe was rather plain and overweight. What's your opinion? :cool:
 
I find it a bit offensive that you say she is overweight - there is enough crap around about women having to be a size 8 without reading it on here.

I take it you are saying that women can only be attractive if they are so skinny they look ill???
 
Exactly, fair enough if people don't think shes beautiful or a good actress (I don't agree but thats their opinion) but calling her fat which she is blatently not....
 
society used to think that all types of women were beautiful but because of the media, we are now told that we have to be wafer thin in order to be attractive.

Even if Monroe had been a size 20, that doesn't mean that she wasn't beautiful. We are now all brainwashed into who we should find attractive & it's really destructive - especially to teenage girls who end up with an eating disorder.

End of lecture... ;)
