Me and my boyfriend were talking about Marijuana. I say it can be addictive. He says, If its pure bud (not laced with anything, I.e. harsh chemicals, hallucinogens, etc.) Then the only way you can be addicted to, Is from a mental addiction, Meaning its all in your head but your not really addicted to it. Meaning, you only want the bud, but you dont care about the high. I say you can get physically addicted to it whether or not its laced because I believe that THC is addictive.
What do you think?
If you have any links to info on this subject, Post 'em.
Thanks!

i don't think it is i just think it's all in their head that their addictive to it or they don't want to stop because they have nothing else better to do in life

its all in your mind. I've been smoking herb for years now and have gone months without it and haven't had any withdraws from it.

marijuana makes you depressed, it gets you high for minutes or hours, but you are dumb for days and weeks.
cannabis is harmless of course, when you ignore the teenage suicide rate.

I was a heavy pot smoker, and it didn't seem to damage me. But years afterwards I get depression and sometimes paranoia, if i smoke cannabis now, it is instant paranoia and worthlessness, great buzz

as far as addictiveness goes, I think it is much less addictive than cigarettes or alcohol

Safer than aspirin and less addictive than coffee! Put that phrase into google and see what pops out? Yeah, thats right! your old friend mary ju wanna. Doctors have known this for a hundred years or longer. Government has known it too.

If you think pot is addictive, then you are believing the lie the government is telling you---and watch while their lie comes unravelled over the next few years!

The truth is, they dont want it to be legal because it will put cotton, big-pharma, and textiles out of business. Not to mention being an alternative fuel, food, and on and on.

Your boyfriend is right. Or what do you suppose is the chemical that he would become addicted to? There is not one, i tell you.

No such animal in pot exists---not even 1 single addictive substance. its as safe or safer than most of the "safe, legal drugs" you get from your doctor, and less addictive than coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, or even SUGAR.

If you are looking for SAFE medicine with a proven track record dating back thousands of years, you cannot find a better alternative. If you are looking to get high and chill with your loved ones, I highly recommend a little herb in your daily diet.

Look it up! Ask your doctor! Don't take MY word for it......

Grammar lesson of the day: It's "My boyfriend and I," not "Me and my boyfriend."

Yes, it is. Long-term marijuana abuse can lead to addiction; that is, compulsive drug seeking and abuse despite its known harmful effects upon social functioning in the context of family, school, work, and recreational activities.

Long-term marijuana abusers trying to quit report irritability, sleeplessness, decreased appetite, anxiety, and drug craving, all of which make it difficult to quit. These withdrawal symptoms begin within about 1 day following abstinence, peak at 2–3 days, and subside within 1 or 2 weeks following drug cessation.Long-term marijuana use leads to addiction in some people. That is, they cannot control their urges to seek out and use marijuana, even though it negatively affects their family relationships, school performance, and recreational activities (9). According to one study, marijuana use by teenagers who have prior antisocial problems can quickly lead to addiction (3). In addition, some frequent, heavy marijuana users develop “tolerance” to its effects. This means they need larger and larger amounts of marijuana to get the same desired effects as they used to get from smaller amounts.
