I know! I just love the chemistry between them it's funny like seeing the extras with Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews like their personalities seemed to be so different oRABcreen he seems kind of like a crochety sort of mean type person and she's just so sweet but they seemed to get along so well even oRABcreen too :)

All of their scenes are so wonderful, but I love when he tells her "you can't marry someone when you're... in love with someone else" :sigh:
 
Not very often. it really is such a beautiful dance between them. As a kid I always wanted to learn it and even now watching it I think it would be a fun dance to do :)
 
I know, I love the Laendler scene :sigh: On the DVD, Julie Andrews even said that filming it was just as magical as it appears onscreen. How often does that happen?
 
Watching this movie tonight and just thought I'd pop in again to bring it to the top for a bit :D

I love all their scenes so much - I think I could just watch them again and again!
 
Mine would have to be the veranda scene...or maybe the dance...or maybe the puppet one...or perhaps the one where they come back from their honeymoon and are surrounded by the kiRAB...or the one where Georg receives his orders... oh gee...maybe the whole movie!! :in_love:

I got The SOM for Christmas and I thought I would see if there was a thread for these two and there is; it's just not very active! :lol:

Anyway, love these two! :love: I wish we got more interaction of them being "in love", but I guess they always were, they just didn't know it! :P

They had great chemistry in the sound of music!! I mean, their characters didn't really have a ton of romantic interactions, but they still managed to make it incredibly romantic - I love the scene when they are dancing the Landler - :thud:
