Ok, So I HATE at&t but I love my iPhone..
But I hate at&t so much I want to get out!

1) So is there any decent PDA phones i can use with Circket? Like MotorlaQ or a BlackBerry ?

2) How is the service in Chicago land?

3) Are they ever going to get decent phones?

4) What cell towers do they use? there own or do the lease them?

Thanks!

1. I use a Touch Pro but I'm not in an AWS market. I believe Chicago is, but I'm too lazy to check right now. If that's the case, your phone selection is going to be severely limited.

2. See the link above mine for a coverage map

3. They've got some text-centric and/or touch screen ones on the way

4. They use their own.

AWS is peoples way of saying that the area you are in uses 1700Mhz cell waves to and from your phone and the tower, almost all other areas in the USA use 850/1900 Mhz cricket,MetroPCS and T-Mobile now have to use 1700Mhz cause they are out of room on the 850/1900 Mhz.

and there is a few PDA like phones coming out for cricket in the next week or 2 that have AWS and will work in you area. Stay sharp

1. Not available here, unfortunately.

2. Excellent. (No offense to the person above but I don't think a coverage map is going to answer the question) I never have a problem with my signal. I've had Sprint and Virgin Mobile (basically the same thing) and I had signal problems with them that I never have with Cricket. And you can use it in the red line and blue line subway.

3. A touch screen phone is coming out next month and another qwerty is coming out soon. You can buy the Samsung Finesse and flash it to Cricket but it looks like it's not available on the website yet.

4. What was said before is the truth. They have their own network.

Cricket builRAB and maintains their own network. The service in Chicago is FANTASTIC. I had great reception everywhere that I went when I was there recently. They are adding service to the subways too! AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile don't even have that.
