Well I'm trying this out for the first time to go with some fish. But my ingredients are very limited.
Here's what the recipe calls for:
1 mango - peeled, seeded and diced
1 avocado - peeled, pitted, and diced
4 medium tomatoes, diced
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and minced
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/4 cup chopped red onion
3 tablespoons olive oil
I don't have jalapeño or cilantro. As for the garlic, I only have it in seasoning form, can I just add that in there for the flavor or would it be better to leave it out?
I also don't have lime juice. But I do have Minute Maid lemonade which smells very similar to pure lemon juice, would it be okay to use that as a substitute?
