Man on the Moon DVD

I watched the film Man on the Moon over the weekend (taped from TV) and just out of interest (i dont know why, i have no plans to buy it, although it was a good film) i tryed to find it on amazon/play only to find out it was never released on DVD in the UK?

Why is this, it was released in the US 4 years ago! I cant think of why its not available, just got me thinking thats all.

Anyone know why?

I can remember reading something about this-there was a very definite reason why a R2 was not widely released but I can't reacall it right now.

It seems very strange to me. It was a successful film. It had a full cinema release in the UK. It had a big name cast. Why is the R2 DVD release not available (or seems to be VERY VERY difficult to find)?

Anyone know?
