A friend of mine is being charged with MURDER it was a bar fight, the victim who lost his life was 57 and was the aggressor the person being held for murder is 28. They claim this man died of a stroke. My question is if he is being tried for Murder will the jury come back guilty or not guilty OR can they come back with manslaughter or a lesser charge?

Of course both of those possibilities CAN happen. There is no way we could tell you what is likely without hearing all of the testimony and seeing all of the evidence.

His sentence can go as low as self-defense if it can be proven or as high as first-degree murder if he was in a clear state of mind.

To my knowledge, however, strokes don't just occur from being startled. It's not like a heart-attack... if a stroke is provoked it would generally come from physical trauma to the head. I couldn't say for certain, though, as I'm not a doctor.

No way to tell with so little information. Especially with it coming from the side of the defendant.
