My fiance is enlisting in the military right now. The divorce judgement hsa not yet been submitted, but the stipulated agreement has been signed by all parties and a judge. The ex's attorney is supposed to be filling out the judgement request but hasn't yet.
The ex seems to think that she's entitled to a military ID and benefits since the divorce is not finalized yet. (The date of marriage end is 3/26 once judgment is signed.)

Is this true? Will she be entered into DEERS? Where did she get the idea that she could hold up her child in the ID picture and have a joint ID card?

With the guy at MEPS now, I get why he needed his other child's birth cert, but why did he need his marriage cert? Did they lie to me? Are they going to sign him up as being married to her still? Is she going to get his BAH?

Will she be allowed on base if only the child has an ID card? She has made comments about going on shopping sprees... so I am really curious.

My children are not going to be covered by anything until this woman's attorney gets her stuff together so we can get married already so this frustrates me.

I know, a million questions, that's what happens when you leave the scared pregnant woman in the dark.

Yes, but as soon as the divorce is finial she will lose them all. If he is still married by law they have to sign her up to.

If he enlists while married to her, she's in you're out. That's why you don't get impregnated without being married.

the day the divorce is final all her benefits end anyway. so while he has to enroll her into DEERS now to avoid committing Fraud, all he has to do is show up with the divorce decree and get her removed.

the CHILD will receive an ID card good for Medical on base privileges. as for her shopping sprees: uh NO. ONLY items for the KID. No Coach Purses, No alcohol or cigs.
