Thread starter seems like a bit of an asshole. The guy is dead, a daughter has no father, and the probable cost to the state for helping him is pennies compared to dealing with it now either via helping the kid to have a normal life or incarcerating her or putting her on welfare.

It shouldn't be any of their jobs to do anything other than diagnose and prescribe the pills but for what it's worth many doctors inform their patients on discount drugs and other options if they speak up and tell them that they don't have a lot of money or don't have insurance. Everybody knows about generics and Wal Mart has been actively advertising their prescription drug program since it started several years ago. Furthermore it's not like the guy couldn't just ask the drug store, or hop on google and do a search for it.

Same here. I never had any facial swelling, but it was sore and sensitive once and I went to the oral surgeon to get it checked out. Dentist told me to have them removed at my convenience, but to make sure to clean the area as best as possible.
