Buster Martin was born in France but, as a result of his teenage mother's illegitimate pregnancy or death, was sent to a Cornish orphanage, when he was three months old.

A 101-year-old man has his sights on the London Marathon in a bid to become the world's oldest competitive runner.

This is something i found quite extraordinary to see a person his age attempting to run the marathon. I saw him on the news today and i was http://thesaurus.reference.com/browse/astonishedastonished to see him he put a big grin on my face. Good for him I hope you do well.

The guy is 101 and still goes to work everyday as a plumber. :dabs:

If it took him over 5 hours to run a half Marathon and he could keep up that pace then it would take him over ten hours to run the Marathon.

At 26 miles that well under 3 miles an hour.

He's running fuck all, it's a gentle walking pace.

And also he's not a plumber, he cleans the vans for a company of plumbists.

No one can run at that speed, it's too slow to be running. You have all sort of gravity issues

Walking speed is what, 4 mph. A fast walk sans the hip thing is about 6.5 mph. Speed walking with the wiggle is about 9.

You cant run at 2.5 mph unless you are on the fucking Moon.
