Mamma Mia on sky in Jan

Mamma mia is on sky box office from Jan 26th 2009 and i was thinking is that not very fast for a film to get onto sky all ready?

Have to say i dont think many people will buy it to view on Sky box office as most people would have the Dvd anyway.
 
It'll be the big Christmas Day movie on BBC1 in a couple of years' time!!
 
This is normal now for Sky Box Office. Most films seem to go on there two months after dvd release. Indiana Jones started on Christmas Day and kung fu Panda starts on New years Day, both just a few weeks after dvd release. Mamma Mia will probably premiere on Sky Movies sometime in the Autumn. As for its network premiere. If it goes to BBC1 and they show it at Xmas then it should be Xmas 2011 but as films seem to premiere in under three years then could be Xmas 2010. Take tonight on BBC1. They have Superman Returns which was released in cinemas in July 2006 so should not have premiered until next Christmas.
