Now that Mamma Mia has been in the Movie house for 2 Months now how much longer can it be showed for?

They still seem to be showing it up to 4 times a day at the Moment and its still packing people in which is a great thing as its the best film ive seem for years.

Well I thought it was fantastic and will go back and see the sing-a-long version.

I went with my nine year old and must admit to having a little tear in my eye at the getting ready for the wedding scene. :o

Well if a truly terrible film like Titanic can stay in the cinema for something stupid like 6 months, I don't see why Mamma Mia can't!

that's blatently to capitalise on the christmas market. They still have the singalong version which would not be the same at home.. well I guess, not that I've seen the film!

Last night my local Cineworld was showing the 8.10 showing as fully booked. Incredible in its 9th week on a wet wednesday night.

I dont think it matters about dvd release dates. I remember The Full Monty showing at my local cinema after six months on release. It was released on video and was still on at the cinema. As my local Blockbuster and cinema are right near each other you had the unique position of either renting it or seeing it at the cinema

That's still 2 months away, it will have either settled down by then (and possibly have become the highest grossing film in the UK ever :D) or they'll push back the DVD date to a little bit closer to christmas.

I dont think it will matter. If the dvd release date arrives and cinemas are still showing it then so be it. As I said above The Full Monty was still in cinemas when the video was released.

It sells out practically every Orange Wednesday and most showings in the evening are at least half full (in the smaller screens)... Which is alot more than other films in terms of longitivity...

When I get asked how much longer its going to be on for at this stage i'd say at-least another 2 weeks...
