i know that mass controls gravity because all thats happening matter is taking up space and the progression of space is pushing back on it but if we do find this graviton or we do catch an electon jumping dimensions can we find out how this is happening?

Hi. Gravity can be thought of in two general ways. Mass distorts space and objects traveling through this distorted space follow a path determined by the distortion. Or each particle of matter emits gravitons which attract other objects. I think the distortion model is correct, but that is just my opinion.

Finding the graviton or evidence of particles jumping into higher dimensions presents something fundamentally unique, as it provides observable evidence for loop quantum gravity theory and all fields of string theory, as well as a few others that rely on the graviton's existence. In other words, while some stuff will begin to make sense, some equations may help explain why the particles transcend, how they transcend, etc. it opens up a whole new realm mind-bending possibilities.

It's almost easier to say not finding the graviton and living in ignorance of its existence will keep physicists happier than finding it and realizing we now have 6 or more dimensions left to explore possibly. :)
