Malcom X watching news footage of late 1965 and 1967 riots in movie?

Can anyone confirm or deny this with a source other than IMDb? I need a quick confirmation if at all possible. Remember to let me know where you got your answer! Thank you!!
 
Malcolm X was assassinated in February 1965 so he would not have seen any riots during 1967 and the only significant riot took place 1965 in Selma, Alabama. If I'm not mistaken they actually showed that Selma riot (called Bloody Sunday) on the TV that he was watching in the movie even though it happened after his death. But that's Hollywood.

The best I could do as far as sources go is below.
