Wow, you brought up a laughable point on my part.. I don't think I ever honked my 1098S horn.. Not even to try it out & see if it worked..

My K1200RS has an after market horn, can't remember the maker but it sounds like a Kenworth is about to drill-ya when sounded.. Only time I got to see it's effect is when this old geezer decided he wanted to move into and do a lane share with me. His window was rolled down and his door was about 3ft from my knee when I cut that horn loose. I swear his dentures hit the dash as he chit himself swerving back into his lane like NASCAR Pro..

Anyway. A loud exhaust works better than stock horn. I just pull in the clutch and give a quick blip of the throttle. Works for me.
