i have been trying to figure that as well.... and most of the professional recommend not doing so...
here is wht i hav to offer... it has a chart for thickness of water according to length, breadth and hieght....
u might also have problems with silicon sealant... as amatuers we will definetely under/over use it.... and both of these probs can be fatal...
less sealant means weak aquarium
more sealant means more sillicon in aquarium which may cause brown algae problems and lowering of pH and even fatal for fish...
