I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant and am having a second glucose tolerance test tomorrow. (For more information on this, see previous Q.)
From what I've been told/read, this will involve a number of blood tests over several hours.
I've always been a very skinny person and previous blood testers have also had problems finding a vein. I have had severe bruising from IVs and blood tests in the past.
My question is, is there anything I can do before the blood tests that will make it easier to draw blood or a little less painful?
The only thing I know of is to drink plenty of water.
Any other tips etc? Thanks =)
