Makeup for Acne!

Has anyone tried the tinted moisturizerd by Cover Girl, Barely There Sheer Matte Tinted Moisturizer by Paula Begoun or any other tinted moisturizers?
 
Clinique's Continuous Coverage with SPF 15 is absolutely a God-send for me. I have the occasional large pimple, but I am mostly plauged by the scars from old breakouts. This stuff is AMAZING at covering redness and scarring. It looks very natural but is extremely powerful, and a little goes a very long way if you use moisturizer as a base.

I sometimes even mix it with my Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion on my hand and create a tinted moisturizer... you wouldn't even know I'm wearing makeup. It's about $19 for a good sized tube, but like I said.. a little bit of this stuff will provide excellent coverage so it will last a long time. I go through one tube a year, so it is a small expense to pay for such a great product. I would buy this stuff for $100 if I had to, it's that good.
 
Which specific lines of cosmetics are people using with acne prone skin? I have the most trouble on the jawline and chin. I just want to find a foundation ( powder or liquid ) with medium coverage that dose not cause or contribute to acne. Anyone have luck with the tinted moisturizers that are out there?
 
Ive only used the drugstore branRAB, except one time I tried clinique but honestly cant remeraber if it broke me out or not. But the only drugstore brand I trust is Almay. I use their skin smoothing line in the compact makeup and so far I can tell it doesnt break me out. Just make sure to either apply your makeup with a clean sponge, brush, hand, or however you prefer.
 
Here is my problem as an adult male with acne.
I want to cover it up as it is healing but often it has flakes of skin that catch the makeup and make it look durab.
How can I put cover up on to make the healing red spots look better without the flakes catching the makeup and it looking durab?
 
I cannot stand mineral makeup anymore. I used everyday minerals when I tried it and even using it with moisturizer my face would be itch and uncomfortable and I couldnt wait to wash it off. Its just because its a "new" form of makeup and everyone's trying it and either love it, wanted to love it, or came to realize that its not all its cracked up to be. Anyways now that you know my hate for MMU, heres proof thats its not better than liquid or creme, I could feel the MMU on my face, and my CREME foundation I cannot. Im guessing because it doesnt have that dry feeling but the cremem doesnt feel like anything at all on my face. Im using Almay's skin smoothing compact/creme foundation.
 
Oops btw, I know they are making liquid form of mineral makeup nowadays too, that review was not for that kind. I did try the physicians formula liquid mineral makeup before but cant remeraber what I thought of the makeup itself because I returned it thinking the built in sponge was unsanitary.
 
Does the Almay give you moderate coverage? I dont want to look like I have makeup cacked on, but I need some decent coverage too.
 
Can anyone else please share what type of makeup they use with their acne?????

Anyone tried Paula Begouns line of makeup or cleansing products?
 
I was coming on to ask the same question. I was wondering about the coverage from mineral makeups. You can see my breakouts and scars even with makeup, so obviously I need something better. Also, I have oily skin and don't use moisturizers under my makeup, should I? Which ones are good for oily skin with acne?
 
Well, I was skeptical of mineral makeup and never wanted to try it.
But, Almay came out with a new one called Pure BlenRAB Mineral Makeup and since I liked Almay I decided to give it a try since it's talc free. I think talc is what bothers some ppl.
Well, I love it. It's been great for my corabo acne prone skin. Covers wonderfully and is very lightweight. The tube it comes in is kinda wierd, so I just poor it in a regular powder container.
It has not broken me out at all either. I will say that it does itch a little, but only when I'm outside and I start to sweat. Though, I do use Alpha Hydrox Enhanced Cream as well, so that may be what is causing the itch as well- or just the 2 corabined. But a little itch here and there is something I can deal with.
 
Yes, it pretty much gives medium coverage, definately not caked on at all. I also recommend applying it with a foundation brush. It blenRAB it really nicely, whether its liquid or creme foundation, and just helps get a nicer finish.
 
I'm using cmh esstentials mineral makeup its cheap and it covers really good with the concealer and it doesn't itch at all because it doesn't have some ingredient called bismuth or something like that which is none to cause some people to feel that itchy sensation when they began to sweat or if their skin is really sentative. It takes me a good long while though to really make sure that everything is covered up but all in all it does the job and by the end of the day its still on.
 
i have the problem with chin and around the mouth acne. i like the bare minerals foundation powder, it's light, but you can build the coverage. it doesn't seem to break me out like the cheap stuff. i've also used MAC select sheer foundation, and it worked great-not cakey at all. anything that is oil-free and non-comedogenic should be a great start. but no matter what makeup you use, it won't help a whole lot unless you've got some good skin care products. i've noticed that without oil-free moisturizers/cleansers, any makeup would still break out my skin. good luck!:)
 
About mineral makeup, I use GloMinerals and swear by it! Its a compact powder so its really easy to use. You can layer it on and even use a concealer brush to conver individual spots. It can itch slightly but it heals as you wear it so its well worth it.
