Make something ugly look beautiful - art homework?

My art homework is to make something ugly look beautiful. I was thinking about doing something like a graffiti wall but writing good words on it. But I cant think of anything else.

I think your idea sounds good.

Funnily enough I did the same kind of thing last year for my artwork =)

You could make it look really scruffy and trashy and like it was in a poor neighbourhood, but write nice things about relationships on it, like about some friends staying together or something.

smooth it--sand away @ wood

polish it--like silver!

paint or decorate a garbage can/pale.

take a rock & polish it & glue some nice stuff to it. but take a picture of it before so that your teacher can see that it was ugly first.

take a black & white picture of a littered street corner or something like that
