Mainstream Vs. Underground

He has a point hobo.
After announcing to the world of rabroad your like of Aguilera, you may as well own one of her albums.
If you like it...you like it.

:pssst: just don't speak to me ever again. ;)

How many blonde goths have you seen? I don't walk around calling people goth if they have black hair or emo. I know tons of people who have dyed black hair and don't dress it at all, you can have dyed black hair and not look either. Just because his clothes kind of fit the bill and he has dyed black hair doesn't make him an "emo kid". I wouldn't consider it scene, dying one half of your bangs yes, cutting the back shorter then the front yes, but just dying it black? Nah, and people call someone else "emo" for tons of reasons, it doesn't hold much ground.

Seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to say to me.

Why is it on this forum people have to argue that black is white just for the sake of it all the time. Are you really all so far up your own *******s you can`t concede when someone makes a valid point.

Sometimes on this forum I feel like i`m in the Monty Python arguement sketch.

If you re-read my original post you'll see that I agree that he doesn't look like an "emo kid," but given the context I would say that yes, the black hair thing is "emo" in this case.

If you don't know what a sell out is I don't know if I should waste my time typing this out but I'm bored so what the hell

IMO a sell out is when a band/artist comprises their sound and what made them likeable to become radio friendly this usually happens after signing to a major label but doesn't always happen then.

Mainstream and Underground are as good as each other, its like saying which era was better for music, the 80's or 90's. They both had good banRAB and they both had **** banRAB inequal measure, you just have to sort the wheat from the chaff.

A lot of people would say i'm a blonde scenester.

Well actually a lot of people would say i'm a ginger scenester, but thats beyond the point.

One infact, about the same amount as you.

Crappy is expressing my dislike for the music, I acknowledge it takes talent but so does every form of music. Dream Theater has talent, doesn't make them good.

I find it somewhat ironic that pop music is frowned apon in this thread by certain individuals who then get anti at me because I call post rock crap.

lol

yeah, it doesnt really matter if the songs are good, but i definatly listen to a lot more underground music, cuz the mainstream music i hear on the radio and what not is absolutly horrible

that's pretty non-specific. do you prefer underground singer-songwriters (william fitzsimmons, nick drake, ect.), or do you prefer mainstream singer-songwriters (john mayer, ect.)?
