Mainstream Vs. Underground

Big deal. I like what I like and what I don't like is crappy post-rock. You don't like mainstream music exclusively if this thread is anything to go by, but you don't see me minding.
 
I accidentally went to a screamo show once and I'm pretty sure everyone was dressed like that.

But whatever, I was just trying to clear up a misinterpretation, I could care less about what's trendy and what's not.
 
It's funny that some *** comes in and says that whenever two people are talking cos they're too durab to interject anything important to say.
 
lol shut the fuck up. You called them boring, uninspired and horrible. You also called prog crappy and they fit in there so basically you're calling them crap. That's a stones throw away from saying they don't have any talent either.

It's called opinion. Ignorance would mean I haven't listened to them a good deal (which I have) and judged them purely on what other people have said.

They are melodic post-hardcore screamo with experemental and indie influences. And screamo is a genre lol. And emo violence lol.
 
Haha I didn't say writing catchy songs makes you talented. Let me be more clear. They are talented AND write catchy songs. The songs are put together well. They're "catchy" but not to the point where it's watered down like radio music. Like they actually put some thought into it and wern't forced to make a radio single.
 
If that guy on the right qualifies as a trendy emo kid then I guess that means there`s hope for me too.

^everything you said was fine until you called post-rock crappy. They're doing more than you musically and doing what they like. That does in no way denote they are crappy. And sure close this thread to end a real debate but that will cause stuff to bleed into other threaRAB.
 
I prefer underground banRAB that have just grasped enough attention to tone their shit and get good enough to go to a level where they release an album before they go mainstream.
 
It's called a fitted tee. And the shirtsleeves cut off halfway to the elbow because that's what's supposed to happen when you wear one. The pants aren't that tight, either. I guess you wear your pants really loose, but that looks to about the right fit for a pair of pants.

If it weren't for the hair, which I'll admit is slightly trendy (I say slightly because aside from the color it's really just an average guy's haircut), I probably wouldn't even notice him walking down the street. He looks pretty normal to me.

And how the hell do you "accidentally" go to a Screamo show?
 
Well it's when you go beyond just not liking it and calling it crap. I don't call all mainstream music crap nor do I hate it all.
 
My opinion is it is crappy therefore I reserve the right to say it is so. Big whoop. Not everyone likes to buy into this type of music, get over it.
