I'm using a Google Apps email account which is basically Gmail and all my server settings are correct but mail will not send. I can recieve mail find but outbound mail will not send no matter what I do. I try to force it and my phone will connect to my mailbox but the message never goes out. I did a search on the forums and didn't find anything that could solve this problem.

I had this random issue with my E71. After 6 months of working flawlessly with 2 Google Apps accounts, any outgoing messages using the built-in client, would queue and after 10 minutes bring my device to a halt by eating resources. It brought my E71 to it's knee very quickly.

The issue went away by itself. I switched to Nokia Email and SEVEN in any fashion. Much better connectivity. Might want to give that a shot. SEVEN is comparable, it has similar features to the built-in client, with AS notifications about the specific message without taking up space when no new messages.

I tried changing the ports as suggested in an earlier post and all I got was an error to check my mailbox settings when attempting to send. I'm going to look into other e-mail clients because this is driving me mad and I can't figure it out.
