Mail order brides vs mail order grooms?

How come mail order brides are much much more common than mail order grooms? What does it say about women & money? Do you think those brides just further enhance men's view that in general women are incapable and only after their money?

I don't get the impression that mail order brides are invariably incapable. some years ago I watched a documentary about mail order brides from the Philippines, and in general it seemed that the women who were applying to be mail order brides were intelligent and well-educated, they did not strike me as incapable.

I would imagine that there probably would be a market for mail order grooms if women were willing to obtain husbands by this method. I think in general women are probably less interested in getting a man by this method. women are more inclined to want romance.

Women have been severely exploited since the beginning of time. It's slowly, gradually changing. I don't think it has that much to do with money, other than the idea that a man can pretty much purchase a Russian or Asian bride off the interwebs. Watch "Mail Order Bride"

It says that there are an unfortunately large number of women in the world who are so poor and desperate for money that they're willing to risk abuse or worse by marrying a man thousands of miles away who they've never met, in a way that practically guarantees that their husband will view them more as property than as a full, intelligent human being. Come on now, you don't seriously think they'd do this if they had any other option? I think this says a lot about the income disparity between the sexes and the way women's bodies and sexualities are viewed.
