Mail for exchange v. BB

I am a BB 7130 user and I am contemplating my next device. I have narrowed it down to the BB 8100 (once its released for Cingular) and the E70. I realize that the forms factors are very different, and things like S60 and WiFi differentiate the two handsets greatly.

My question here, though, is about email functionality: unless and until there is a BB Connect client for the E70-2, Mail for Exchange is my only choice for syncing with our corporate exchange server.

I would like to hear from people who have used both Mail for Exchange and BlackBerry. How do the two products compare? Do I lose email functionality by going to the Nokia? With the BB, I can file email in any/all of my subfolders on my exchange profile: does MfE have this functionality? Also, does MfE sync with the sent mail folder on the exchange server?

thanks in advance...

MFE doesn't have subfolder support (that I can find). The email, calendar and contacts get delivered instantly though and updates go back quickly also for read/deleted email. The sent mail also syncs nicely.

No subfolder support at all? That could be a problem, as I rely on subfolders to sift through my email traffic.

Also, what device do you use? Is MfE essentially the same across the S60 lineup?

N93, but I've used it on others, N80, E61, E70, etc. Pretty much the same. A minor difference is on my N93 I can "synchronize mail" from the mail client whereas on the E70 I didn't have that option in the mail client, I had to do a full sync from the MFE app. Keep in mind that's only if you choose to manual sync, you can also set it to full auto.

No Subfolder support. I use Profimail and/or the built in imap mail client which both support subfolders but those are timed or manual pulls, not instant like MFE.

MfE works within the existing messaging client, does it not> That is how it appears in the documentation.

Also, the subfolder support for Profimail and the built-in is for accoutns other than the Exchange account, though, correct?

MFE adds an email account in the messaging menu next to the traditional email account setting. I have imap enabled for my exchange server so I use that for profimail and the built-in mail client so I can access subfolders.

I'm not sure if Roadsync supports folders, but you could probably shoot them an email to see.

I had a number of problems with Roadsync...problems that they never did resolve. It would fail to connect most of the time, the calendar would fail to replicate (fatal errors), and it would sometimes just hang.

MFE, on the other hand, has been completely problem free for me. It is, however, a pain not having access to sub-folders. Also, there is no way to accept meeting invitations using MFE. (Roadsync had this...when it worked.)
