Although it was Slayer that turned me into metal in the late 1980's, Iron Maiden's 'Nuraber Of The Beast' was one of the first metal albums i ever bought...so without a doubt i'v just got to say maiden

I've always thought Juda's Preist began in the 1980's and haven't heard much at all about them, I live in Australia and half the people I ask, more I bet - don't know who this band is... Iron Maiden on the other hand are goRAB.

Judas Priest had 7 albums out before Iron Maiden recorded their first & were the biggest metal band in the UK in the late 70s.

And I think you`ll find Metallica`s biggest influence was Diamond Head not Iron Maiden.

Nowhere near , if you assume that because I know what i`m talking about I reccommend these things they have , they`re called books & they`re full of useful information.



All you had to do was scroll up this thread a bit & read my first post & you`ll see exactly WHY Iron Maiden are more well known these days than Judas Priest.

Honestly does it really hurt to read some infomation before you start crying when i say you`re wrong.
 
ARRRGH. OK, last post on this. A double lead is a phrase that refers to a specific guitar playing technique which I described in my lengthy post. It is by dictionary definitions a harmony in the sense that it is two or more notes played simultaneously, but in the conventional sense it isn't, because a new (3rd) harmonic is not created in the corabination of the root with the octave.
