So a few years ago, in a fit of rage, I broke my hand. My dominant hand. Specifically, my right hand. I ended up with a pretty severe boxer's fracture. (When your curve into your punch and the second to last or last metacarpal is injured or broken. In short, my "pinky" knuckle has been pushed back.)

I have limited mobility and it aches often. Even still. I take Naproxin (An anti-inflammatory) for the pain. But that doesn't even help. I can't afford therapy and I am fairly sure I have arthritis in that hand. Will my hand eventually shrivel up and stop moving? Are there exercises? Does anyone else know what I am going on about?
 
I had a similar problem, and after much research this is what I came up with. It works; after following these three steps you will no longer have any form of boxer's fracture.


1.) Massage your right hand with your left. Make sure to get inbetween the knuckles and really put some force into the tendons. This will help loosen them up for step 3.

Take your left thumb and push it into your pinky knuckle, using your left index finger behind the knuckle to hold it in place. You want to rub your thumb against the skin in a clockwise motion. It will hurt, but it's therapeutic and will not cause any permanent damage. Do the same thing between the two knuckles, and to the ring finger knuckle as well. Spend about 15 minutes doing this.

2.) Next, find a flat surface like a table. Flatten your hand out on the table. Take your left hand and put your fingers on the tendons on the back of your right hand. Apply pressure, starting at the wrist and going outward towards the knuckles. Do this to all of them, just just the injured ones. Again, you are working to relieve tension so the final step is more effective. Really work your fingers into the soft spots between the tendons and knuckles. Do this for 15 minutes.

3.) With your right hand still flat on the table, grab one of these:

and let that bad knuckle have it. You want to punish those mother fuckers for stepping out of line and causing you so much god damned pain. You're the one in charge. Who the fuck do they think they are to be starting so much shit? You're like 500 times their fucking size, god damn it! You want to beat those shitstains like you know social services is coming tomorrow to collect them from your abusive, crack whoring ass. Pummel them; use the spiky end, the flat end doesn't hurt enough. beat them until those fucking retard knuckles turn into a sea of floating bone fragments.


That'll show them.

Yeah, other than physical therapy and medicine I really don't know what to tell you. Sorry.
 
uh, I would not take a meat clever to my hand no matter how desperate I got to relieve the pain.

Have you tried to google on the net for therapy for hand injuries? Or even call a physical therapist.

I don't know what to add other than that.

I lol'd. I really did. I did look it up before and nothing of use really came up. I try massaging them but not to that extent. I will consider the hammer... If all else fails. IT COULD WORK, RIGHT?

Am I too late for try outs for the hand job?

I smacked a wall 25 years ago and did nothing for it, now my hand is one large ball of fuckuptnessmass, you should take any advice you can get and run with it. Get er fixed.

Just for the record the jack off method really doesn't work, my hand is still fucked up,it's just fun.
