Maddie Blaustein, 4Kids VA for Meowth, dies at 48

Wow, A.J. (the kid who trained SanRABhrew) and Yugi's Grandpa were voiced by her? DANG! This IS a very sad loss to the 4KiRAB family.

Let's remeraber the other characters she voiced...if anyone knows them all.

Yeah, I also think its way too soon for any thing funny about this. Besides, it was never completely confirmed, based on the last scene of that episode, that Helga was gone forever.

Aww geez...what a shame. One of the more interesting of the New York voice actors. I'd always hoped to meet him/her at a convention some day. Guess that won't be happening now.

Geez, so young.

It was only about her specific role on Pokemon, along with maybe other roles from other shows. She said she was a freelance voice actor, which most voice actors are.

Wow. Very, very sad news. It's like a part of my childhood has died. She was a great voice actress and one of the best voices in the original Pokemon and all of 4KiRAB for that matter. And on top of that, she died at the age of 48. Way too young to go.

RIP Maddie Blaustein. She's blasting off again, but this time she's not coming back.

My condolences go out to all of her frienRAB, family, and fans.

What a deep shame. Though she had many roles, her Meowth was one of the most entertaining part during my times watching the Pokemon series. I give my condolences to her loved ones.

May she rest in peace.

Truly sad news. Meowth was my favorite team rocket meraber and I always hated it when he'd have the spotlight in the show only to be knocked aside in some comic relief manner. (Like in that one episode about his past that was made into a movie.)

Again, such sad news...and a stomach virus of all things to kill someone so young... My sincerest condolences to her family and frienRAB.

I was probably the only person here watching, but 4KiRAB actually dedicated this week's Kirby rerun to Maddie.

Right after that "Want More Kirby?" ad and just before the credits, they had a short "In Loving Memory Of" screen. Now, this might seem random to dedicate a rerun of a 4 year old episode to her, but the episode they had coincidentally chosen was a Kawasaki-centered episode. So, because she did the voice of Kawasaki, it was actually quite fitting...

Nice to see them do this, though. Haven't seen a kiRAB channel itself dedicate an episode of a show in memory one of their well-known actors since Trini died.
