Mad Men - Series 1 repeat - BBC2 Sunday Nights

Esp. as we also had a scene where the service elevator was K/O'd and the cleaner had to use the "good" (white peoples?) lift. It was one of the Mad men nuanced scenes where the "lift guy" asked the office-type occupants "do you mind?"
I think we'll just have to forgive them the little inconsistency that the service elevator can break down but the main one(s) keep running, but that the opposite is not true.

The door has to be open before someone can decide to walk through (Grasshopper).

My sister is quite a formidable customer on such matters and refused to watch it in the first place.

Educate me, peach, Angel's Connor???

Don Draper what's up with that guy?, three women on the go, pays off his brother (which nearly broke my heart) as wears a permanent look of consitpation on his not too displeasing mug.

We definately need to see more of the 'morons' i mean women. I wonder if Peggy will make a success of her assignment, actually be paid for it and end up being the first female member of that exclusive boys club.

And i wish Joan would put it away, it's distracting. :o

This is a grower, i can tell. :)

I've just watched the first 10 episodes back to back in the last 48 hours. Absolutely hooked!

Does anyone know if the BBC are repeating all 3 series?

I believe the term is "Functioning Alcoholic"... and I don't think it's a spoiler to say you'll see some repercussions very soon.

Three?

And I think Joan was just playing a nasty trick on Peggy when she told her to start coming up with ideas... not a fan of Joan so far.

I hope so. Series 1 ends on Sunday with a triple bill. I wonder if they will then show 2 and 3 and then series 4 on BBC2 as by then it would have finished it's run on BBC4 (which starts tonight btw).

I think i might see how cheap i can get the Blu Ray's of Season 2 and 3. I'm recording all of Season 4 to watch at a later date, i don't see the point in skipping from S1 to S4, i think it'd ruin the show and be quite confusing.

I got curious about this show after seeing a lot of people talking about it and I really like it. It's very slow but sometimes I need that after watching so many shows that are really fast-paced. The acting is first class all the way and the fact that it's pure eye-candy visually is a great bonus. I watch it for the fashion as much as the plot.

Most importantly, it's an amazing look into the 60s (I wasn't born until the 80s) and everything feels really authentic. Fascinating to see how much everything has changed since then, especially the attitudes toward smoking and drinking and the treatment of women in the workplace.
