MacroVision

You know when you record a MacroVision Protected movie from a DVD Player or PC onto a Video Casette, the picture comes out wrong, what would happen if I played the movie through a DVD Player and used a Video Capture Device on my PC to record it? Would there still be problems with the picture?

Also, what if I recorded from a DVD Player to a DVD Recorder? Same problems? Thanks.

The macrovision system can be disabled by a code on many of the DVD players on the market

Rather than buy a device that probably costs more than the DVD player itself, try the forums dealing with multi region hacks and how to enter these using the secret codes leaked from the factories.

I disable the Macrovision on some DVRAB simply to prevent the pulsing that can be seen on a rear projection TV, nothing more, but recording is then possible as a spinoff

I bought an Acoustic Solutions DVD421 after being told that it's easy to disable MacroVision and enable VCD on a forum. I bought mine from Richer SounRAB with the codes (which I already had) and I enabled VCD's but MacroVision could not be disabled. I later found out this was because Acoustic Solutions updated the firmware on the later versions of 421 to prevent MacroVision disabling. If only I'd bought it one earlier!

I don't wanna buy a MacroVision disabler from the net cos I don't know which websites are reliable. Where else can I get one?
