m50 end caps

hey all...
some bastard decided my 08 m50 was too pretty and knocked the thing over - luckly - onto another bike (broke the fall).

only damage done was to the right end cap - the screw was bent but the entire assembly came out - i straightened the screw and now have the entire assembly in hand...

question is: how in the hell does the installation process work?

if someone could let me know how to re-install the stock end cap - thats be great. thanks, people.

keep the rubber-side down, cheers!

You'll have to get a piece of straightened wire coat hanger or something and fish the rubber insert out. Place it just inside the bar, start the long screw into it. As you tighten the screw hold the rubber in place with a finger. The rubber will expand to grab the inside of the bar as you turn the screw. Once it is starting to grab, push the cap all the way on (pushing the rubber back to the right spot) and tighten the screw the rest of the way.
