M50 200 Rear Tire

[Hey Diddle Diddle!]

Been looking into upgrading, guy at the biker shop told me I can go up to a 200 on it,, hum , what do you think? Here is the deal, 170/80/15, need 200/80/15, can this tire be found? anyone else done this ? My 5th gear at 65-70ish good gas mi, speed, but at 75-80 trying to keep up with friends on larger bikes 80 is pulling some gas guzzling rpm's. How about a taller tire? Will that effect the power band that much? :bluethum:

Metzeler makes a 200 80/15 that will fit under your M just fine. It is both wider and taller than the stock tire, and is the largest you can fit without rubbing the swingarm or shaft drive.

Looks like 200 70/15 is the only think listed on their website :bluethum:

Its a 200 70 15

NOT 200 80 15

Only Metzler will fit in this size I belive its the 880

I found Avon to have a 200/80/15,, bikebandit, 190.00

I was told on the C50 (at least) the Avon 200 will fit.
