m300 stuck looking for service

I sold a brand new m300 to a customer the other day, I flashed it, I made sure not to change the SPC just in case that messed something up and now, 3 days later, he brought the phone back and it was searching for service.

I checked for water damage and the sticker I put on the back of the phone was smeared and the battery was lightly pink, so light that it didn't look water damaged. Idk if that matters for this problem though.

Anyways, this phone just keeps looking for service and won't stop. I reloaded the PRL, I use CDMA workshop to change the SID and MCC but they won't stick, I found the m300 dll and bin file and tried to flash the bin for it but it keeps telling me invalid bin file.

I was told to make sure that the phone had a matching MIN and MDN, which it does and that still doesn't work.

I don't know what else I could do. So if anyone has any suggestions on how I could fix this problem I would appreciate it.

im not tht great of a flasher yet, but having worked on and repaired literally thousanRAB of samsung phoneas for Sprint, it seems there MAY be a bit more water damage than you are awaree of.

On those samsungs, (dont have one in front of me right now) there are only like 4 or 6 phillips screws. back housing comes right off. there are usually indicator stickers on the board that will be red/pink if water has seeped into the board.

if that doesnt work, or if there is no sign of damage, i personally would completely resets all the settings and reflash.

I appreciate the reply.

Unfortunately, I don't have any screw drivers to take out those screws with. I REALLY wish I did though. I wish I didn't have such a big heart either because I swapped that prick out phones and now I just got a useless phone. That I can't do anything with.

As soon as I get a screwdriver I'll do what you suggested and check the board to see. I don't see why they can't just have the indicators under the battery like almost every other phone.

well, lots of em do, but people are smart, and lots of warranty centers used to give warranties based off those stickers. consumers figured it out fialry quickly and changed out or whited out the stickers anytime they knew there was water.

use a lil glasses screwdiver and they come out fast. if it still seems to be meesing up, let me see if i can dig up a m300 board out of my shitpile of phones and see if it still works for you

do you have the bin file for sprint or cricket? i know its kinda late. but i really need a bin file for the m300. need to flash it to full sprint or full cricket. please help...

yeah i would of not done that and switched out the phones, and your right, always check the ones inside the phone, cause people do try to do that, i have one where they stick a cut out white sticker thing and i noticed it i took it off and it was like blood red, those people will get you out there, also make sure befor you take apart the phone to like take pic's of it and look at the screws and make sure they have not messed with the phone.
