m night shayamalan please stop

Your entitled to, but I think your rather over-reacting don't you?

I don't much like Titanic, but I don't go around demanding James Cameron never makes another film again!

But that's just it, he hasnt. Most of his career is based around recycling old stories, on top of this he just loves the idea of being regarded as some sort of hitchcock-like genius, when he clearly isnt.

I quite enjoyed The Happening until the last few mins, when he completely ruined it all.

I must admit, I quite enjoy all of his films. He has a great imagination and is at least (not yet) jumping on the remake old fims bandwagon.

No not all all the village was disgraceful and unforgiveable and my point is he is making dire films for the sake of a twist to make a film good. that is a a sham:mad:

I am not gonna giv eairbender the timeof day now.
I never liked coen brothers but gave them chances for no country for old men and burn afetr reading. They redeemd themself. M night shaymalan has not:(

So you actually aren't going to give him the chance to redeem himself then actually? A bit of a double standard there.

Furthermore I am slightly worried that you are taking this all a bit to far. Why get so upset because you don't like someones films? There are more important things to worry about. I think you need to chill the heck out before you give yourself a heart attack!

Look, everybody loved The Sixth Sense and it went completely to his head.

The Village was passable although given the fact you knew there would be a twist it was not difficult to determine from about ten minutes in what it would be.

The Happening was lame all the way through and didn't even have a twist.

his films are quite poor really, its like OH theres a twist, which everyones expecting these days, and most films have like 1 viewing life expectancy, as once you know the twist, its game over, you cant watch the film again an be surprised,

but his films are just getting worse, its like the happening, omg its the wind/ plants, an im not using spoilers on that as im really saving you wasting over an hour an a half of your life,

i had to sit through that at the cinema and really wish i had left but i couldnt because i was with my gf, in the end she says it was crap anyhow,

eh?:confused::confused: the only way I get heart attack is if i have a can of red bull:rolleyes::rolleyes:

ps he has had enough chances since the sixth sense:D

not taking it to far this is a discussion that all.

oh dear this isn't a thread to allow people to have their own opinions is it?

I for one liked 6th sense so much at first that i watched the "behind the scenes featurette" big big mistake. M Knight told us his own interpreted rules for ghosts and thats fair enough, they dont exist so interpret how you like. what pissed me off is the fact he couldn't even stick to his own rules. e.g M Knight - "a ghost can only touch what he touched the night he died, hence not being able to open certain doors" ---so what Mr Knight? you're telling me that on the night he died he touched a random brick in the street so that when he was a ghost he could chuck it through a window?
pure utter shite, i mean i may have "wrong ideas" but at least im consistent.
after that i was very sceptical about his film "talent".
Unbreakable - boring and very anit-climatical
Signs - haha i thought scary movie was more scary
village/happening/other film - wont give the time of day to.

if i ever meet Mr Sham then i will say "oh mr knight you are brilliant i love all your films" and then punch him in the face.....now that's a real twist!!

I can genuinely say that 'Lady in the water' was the one film that made me want to scream with rage as I was sat in the cinema for having spent money and a Saturday night to go and see it. I don't go to the cinema anymore and 'Lady in the water' was one of the last films I ever saw at the cinema.

I honestly don't know why I became so angry whilst watching it but can only assume it was because I found the film so mind numbingly dull and pointless. The trailer didn't look half bad but I would think there would be more pace in a funeral march than the plot of that film!

My only amusement whilst watching it was laughing to myself that 'narf,' which if I recall was what the stupid nymph or whatever Story was supposed to be - the lady in the water - called herself was the crazy noise that Pinky from Pinky and the Brain used to make. Sad I know but I was driven to despair.
