Lyric That Motivates You

Hello all!

I am looking forward to reading your posts and getting to know you. Here's my first question...

What single lyrical line or two from which song and which artist, would you call your underlying theme song? It just motivates and/or inspires you and helps you through your day, your job, your music career. If you write your own music, it can even be from one of your original songs.

One of mine is Loose Yourself, by Eminem,

hmmmmm tuffy, id say either that power chorded "EYE OF THE TIIIIIGER" is a bit motivating. Id say "We Want Fun!" after the big big buildup in Andrew W.K's song we want fun is more apt for me thou!!

^ WOAH I was gonna say eye of the tiger.. Amazing song! Anyhoo, for me its :

"Take my hand, and we'll make it I swear"
Bon Jovi - Livin On A Prayer
I know, the lyrics arent much, but the song makes it really uplifting.. for me anyways :)

The whole of Thrice - Stare at the sun

Same with Queen - Dont stop me now

WOO fun songs

As much as it shames me to say it, it has to be Quad City DJ's - Space Jam.

"Raise you hanRAB in the air if you feel fine....."

Or maybe Van Halen - Jump.

hmm, tad difficult,
some libertines lyrics are really apt to me, "cornered, the boy kicks out at the world- but the world kicks back, a lot fcking harder".
"we dont talk about life, we only want to get drunk"- manic street preachers
"2 and 2, always makes a 5" and indeed most lyrics that thom yorke of radiohead has produced.

When ever I run a race (this is kinda weird but honest) I say to my self "we're not just faces and names, we're flesh covered in flames" its from an Inked In Blood song called Where The Enemy Sleeps. The way its said is whats killer. the music fades into this really fast drumroll thing and the guy starts saying the lines. he repeats it twice and then its a gang vocal with no music behind it. than it goes into a breakdown where he screams it. Its just really really cool sounding. hells ya.
