I won't lie, I heard his song Superstar on the radio and I thought that maybe this guy is a real artist and makes good music, so I bought his two albums on itunes...and I was right. This guy makes great music, something that today's rappers should learn from...

Great albums imo

I've been a fan ever since I heard Food & Liquor for the first time soon after it was released
Go find some of his mixtape stuff as well

For a commercial artist hes actually pretty decent, but nowhere near as good as all you people make him out to be. I have an article on the subject which you can read here: http://hubpages.com/hub/Underground-Hip-Hop-Decimates-Its-Competition

Lupe's one of the best current big artists for sure, and a definite breath of fresh air for mainstream hip hop. Plus I just happened to finally come across some of his accapellas....

I normally dont like that kind of music, but i was working the other day and they kept playing that track Superstar and now im kinda addicted to it.

Though i must say im not a big fan of those rap parts, but what a voice.

Lupe Fiasco is one of the only rappers I can put up with. I can't stand the "retard rap" that is out there nowadays (i.e. Soulja Boy). I'm glad to see the Lupe is getting recognized for the talent he has.

There's been thousanRAB of people like him around making good rap music since the 80's. "Retard Rap" is just a small (and unfortunately the most commercial) section of the genre.

If anything I feel Lupe's bringing back what older hiphop used to be a little bit.

Lupe Fiasco is a very talented and unique artist... and I think his talent and recognition will only increase in the future. I love his new cd "The Cool" and would recommend it to a wide variety of people. In regard to the "retard rap" comments above... listen to, or read the lyrics to the song "dumb it down" off the cool. I think he says what others are saying and thinking a bit clearer.

Favorite song = Blackout [if you haven't heard it, and you like Lupe, dl it now]

Yeah that's true...I also like some of the older rappers...people like Tupac and Biggy that rapped about actual issues and weren't just in it to be on MTV
