Hi. Recently I've been worried about my father, who got hit by a rock at his leg. After some time a lump appeared there. Its under the skin, about 1,5cm wide and 0,5cm high. It's round shaped and practically colorless. Is this a reason for worry? He thinks it's nothing and doesn't want to see a doc about it.Please help.

Hi,

I have a couple of small lumps on my left leg that have been there for a few years. I had them checked out by the doctor who said they're nothing sinister. I think it's the kind of thing that can form when you lose or gain weight if memory serves.
Anyway, it sounds like the same thing and it most likely harmless but I expect a doctor could have a quick poke around and tell you if it's a problem.

Its located about 15cm down the knee. Well i guess it can't be cancer , because its caused by an injury, looks round and it's surface is even. It's almost colorless, maybe just slightly pink/red.

Could possibly be a calcium deposit. I got them when I was younger playing sports. I had hard hits to my legs and shins, and the bumps formed after. They would sometimes hurt to press on, and at times had a sort of numb feeling when touched. I went to the doctor after a few weeks thinking it was some kind of a fracture, but doctor said they were calcium deposits from hard impacts and may or may not go away, but they were completely harmless. Since his came after a blunt force, its probably that.

I've currently got the same sort of thing. A very small lump appeared on my lower left leg around July and since then it has grown to about 2 cm long and 0.5 or so up. It is also causing
almost constant numbness and tingling in my left foot. Went for a blood test, an x-ray and an ultrasound and nothing was seen. Any idea what it could be? Heading back to the docs in 2 days but advice would be mega appreciated.

Thanks, Sam
