Lulu Authors: Can you tell me more on the pros and cons of Lulu?

Specifically, is it possible to have a few, as in less than 10, books printed without paying anything? Or would I merely pay shipping and handling?

Also, should I decide to later self-publish a novel or some other book, ought I to use the provided publishing services, and if so, how much will I really end up paying?

I don't mean to insult those who go by the route of traditional publishers. Personally, I'd prefer that method, but I'm looking for someplace to professionally bind a short manuscript I don't intend to 'publish' in another manner.
 
Pros: They are generally considered honest and up-front about what they offer

Cons: I think they have a minimum and I think it might be ten. Costs a lot. Won't see your book on shelves in stores.

In general I encourage you to do more research outside sites that are trying to sell you something, as well as outside Y!A.
