She is limited to 10 yards of garden space in which to plant the daisies and the rose bushes. Each daisy takes up 1 inch, and each rose bush takes up 2 inches of garden space. In addition, each friend also offers to loan Lucy some of her workers at a reduced price. Sandra charges Lucy $5 for each worker that Lucy borrows from her, while Julie charges Lucy $4.50 for every worker that Lucy borrows from her. Lucy needs at least 3 workers to plant a single daisy plant and at least 2 workers to plant each rose bush.
