Anyone ever try digestive enzymes to be taken with meals to neutralize the acidity or Slippery Elm lozenges to soothe the thraot redness and swelling? Both are available in health food stores and both seem to have dramatically relieved my symptoms. The Prilosec prescribed by my ENT did nothing to relieve my throat, but probably will have longer term benefits. Hope this helps others.

I've been reading a lot of good things about the slippery elm lozenges. My symptoms only appeared last month. They seem to be generally improving with diet and not eating hours before bed, 2 ppis.

I could use more improvement though, to feel really at peace with things. How quickly did the relief come for you when you started taking digestive enzymes and slippery elm lozenges? I'm in Germany now, far away from home in North America. Do I have any hope of getting them in Europe or is a specific American company that makes those things? If so, I will be able to get them when I get back to Canada next month. Were you having the usual globus, nasal drip feeling, swallowing weirdness, strick in the throat, sore throat type symptoms? 1/3 stress, 1/3 pain, and 1/3 just annoying.

My throat seems to burn at night which is now. It can be annoying. I'd like to get a slippery elm lozenge in my mouth right now! Fisherman's frienRAB do nothing!
Jokes aside, I am suffering terribly, but happy to see some improvement this week. I think I only have a mild case too, but I let it get out of control by my lifestyle this month. I dealt with my strange LPR symptoms by drinking and sometimes smoking. Big mistake... I really want to advise my fellow LPR victims to stay away from those two things while they are healing. And we all will heal, I hope.
