LPR Reflux-coincidence or not??

I have had what has been diagnosed as LPR reflux off and on for the past 2 years. I found that I had no problems all summer long. Not one bit of drainage or throat problems. Now this October it is starting up again. I also realized that when it first started for me a few years ago it was Fall time. I'm curious why I was fine all summer-I have a feeling it has something to do with allergies?? But what type could it be?? Anybody else have any problems similar to this? I have no runny nose, itchy eyes, sinus problems. I just have this drainage in my throat and constant throat clearing and cough and sore throat. I seem to do ok during the day-it's night time that it starts for me. It's so frustrating!!!

Yes, I have LPR and it started in the beginning of Septeraber. It's the opposite for me. I'm ok at night but as soon as I get up, i get throat burning, mucous, throat clearing cough all day long. It varies from day to day, a little better on some, worse on others. Very frustrating. I've been on Omeprazole, Nexium, Previcid. I can't tolerate the ppi's. Now I'm taking Zantac 2X a day. I also have Barret's and know that I must get this under control. The doctor said that it could takes months for results. He wants me to go back in 8 wks.

Hi Jerseygirl, your symptoms sound exactly like mine!!! No issues at night but all kicks in after getting up in the morning. Burning usually lasts a day but not every day (nothing seems to stop it ie. Gaviscon etc) but the burning does subside while I eat. Throat clearing is another big one and I am constantly, trying to clear and cough. I do also burp a lot!!! Sound familiar?
