Lpr is good, but need endescope for stomach

i get the very occasional bit of flem in the morning but only like the one spit lol...........and fine for the rest of the day.............but in general LPR is not an issue really for me now.........the gastrits stomach burning and neasea come and go........bascally i feel normalish for like two weeks and then out of no where i get full on stomach buring and neausea for like two or three weeeks and then it goes again.........so bizzare!!! my spec said if he sees nothing on my endescope then its just nonspecific despepsia in other worRAB they dont have a clue.............Im hoping that i will have all my symptoms when i get endescope done as i often wonder if i get some bile reflux which makes me burn, but once it calms down my stomach heals and then i get another bit of bile and the cycle repeats!!! its very frustrtating..............i luckly have a very amazing natropath............who is healping me heaps.............also i had blood tests back showing that i was low in Iron and low thyroid so my natropath is going to helpme with these too............Im over doctors drugs lol..............my natrpath also siad that the thyroid has so much to do with the stomach as if your thryroid is low it slows down everything in your body including your digestive system so there may be a link!!! I will see once he sorts it out and gets some iodine in me!!

have you had an endescope yet!!! do you get neasea as well?

been a while since i last checked in.....my LPR after 7 months of PPI x2 day is fantastic yah!! but still having gastritis issues off and on...........burning and neasea...........so seeing my spec tomorro and asking for endescope to see whats going on down there!! however going to have to ask for him to not knock me out as i never no if im pregg from one month to another as we are trying and i dont want to risk the chance that i could be pregg and get the sedation whcih may hurt a llittle fetus!!!!!!!

anyone had endescope with no drugs sedation etc............imhoping that they will just spray my throat with the nurabing stuff to stop me gagging......i thankfully dont gagg to easliy!! oh and i dont have h pylori as got rid of it

How many mg are you taking of the PPI 2x day? I'm taking 20 mg of Nexium twice a day but wonder if that is enough to stop the LPR symptoms. I still have breakthrough acid.

I had it done without sedation right before Christmas.

The doctor nurabed my throat and used a pediatric scope (which is smaller than an adult scope) because it was a purely diagnostic procedure (the adult scopes allow the doctor to take a biopsy if necessary).

It was a piece of cake and I was able to watch the procedure on the video monitor.

i take two losec a day (proselic ) im not sure i think its 20mg the same as nexium.........when i was at my worst i also toook galiviscon advance (the UK version not the american one as its different and contains aluiminum............the UK one is bascally the seaweed stuff) anyway i took it before bed everynite and slowly it started to help!!!! i relfuxed with LPR at nite thou which is unusuall as used to wake up with sore throat flem etc etc...........try the glaviscon it is really good and you can get non mint flavours like aniseed and chery or something like that.
oh also it takeessssssssssss agessssssssss for improvement with this LPR its not normal GERd!!! its different yet the same lol

Gastritis is an inflamation in the stomach, seen on an endoscopy exam. When you say you had gastritis off and on, do you mean several endoscope tests have show this or do u think you have off and on gastritis because of burning and nausea?

Another option would be to take an over the counter pregnancy test a week or two before endo, abstain during that time, and get the sedation. As i understand it, they are accurate enough.

no i havnt had endescope to see if i have gastritis im just going by symptoms and that i have removed h pylori, taken my deaseased gallbladder out (thank goodness. well reccommened if you have issues)..my spec also said that i wouldnt have gastroparesis as i dont vomit and have daily bowel movements with no constipation............so running out of things but gastirits which i have researhed and researhed and it fits!!! anyway my gastro who i saw today is doing endescope on 22 april and he siad its fine with no sedation and just throat spray...............so i guess i will see whats going on!!

I have to say I have been on PPI x 2 for almost a year now and the LPR is much better, but still have a lot of phlegm, do you still get phlegm in the throat.

But like you I have burning in the stomach how often do you get the stomach burning?
 
I don't get any nausea, I have had 3 endoscops, the first was 2 years ago when all the problems started and they diagnosed me with gastritis and erosive duidenitis and H-pylori positive. The bacteria was treated and I was tested for it and it's gone, but the symptoms persisted. I had to change GI 3times, and finally the last one diagnosed me with small hiatus hernia 1 to 2cm.
Lately for the last 2 months I have been having isues with my sinuses, and this strange dust feeling in my throat that come and goes. I am getting concerned about it, since it turns into a sore throat it all started with a bad upper rspiratory cold, but has lingered on, so not sure whether it is reflux or connected to the cold. When you read the net at times it gets scary. I have 2 to go and see the ENT again. I believe I am also anemic the recent bllod test shows low rabroad, and RBC.
Do you have PCOS and heavy perioRAB by any chance?

no i dont have pcos or heavy perioRAB.............get yourself on to chaste tree herbs it will help you!!! with those issues..
not sure about the sinus thing it could be lpr as itcan cause all those symptoms or cold be still viral.................go to an ENT so he can look down your throat to see if its acid etc
