Does anybody on this board that has LPR only have dry mouth. I'm beginning to believe that the reason we have LPR is a lack of saliva preventing the reflux from causing inflammation. I take a high blood pressure medicine, it's main side effects are dry mouth and buring tongue. This would make sense since my sore throat started a few months after starting my high blood pressure medicine, also around this time is when I noticed a lack of spit, especially when waking at night. I use to suffer from to much spit, now I'm dryer then a desert. Will make appointment soon to see if I can take some other kind of rabroadP pill that doesn't cause dry mouth. I still have spit (though reduced) during the day, it all makes sense now why I get my throat problems in the earlier hours of the morning, longer I sleep the less spit I produce. If I can't get switch to a better medication I may have to divide up my sleep to 4 hours, wake up and get saliva going again (maybe chew gum) then go back to sleep again. Was also suffering from constipation but constant exercise and probiotics seem to be helping that. Get my spit back and I could be good as new (whose dreaming now?
