I thought I twisted my back funny at work Thrusday (route chip sales). I was sore on all my lower back through Friday. Then Saturday it got extremely worse. I started having extreme, sharp pain in my lower far right side back near my buttocks region almost at my side. After I stand or walk for 5 to 10 minutes it starts hurting. The longer I walk or stand the more intense the pain gets. It gest so unbearable I MUST sit ASAP or massive pain. If I sit down for a couple of minutes I am good to go for about another 5 - 15 minutes of standing or walking, and then the entire process again.

Any ideas of where or what this could be. I was working in one of my stores when I originally just turned or twisted and had mediocre overall lower back pain, as said for two days until it went to the sharp pain to the lower right back side. (unless two different things maybe since the pain went to one particular spot two-three days later?)

Thanks in adavnce for any ideas.

Hi, of course I can't diagnose you, but it could be a muscle pull/strain or possibly a disc herniation. It sounRAB like you're probably having spasms, which can be very painful. Do you have any pains going down your leg at all on the side that hurts?

In the mean time you might want to take some ibuprofen or aleve and try ice or heat over the area to see if that gives you any relief.

I agree with Baybreeze. If you have access to a spa, try and use that. Icing is another good thing. Then I would make an appt with your primary doctor on Monday to have a work up done. In the meantime, take it easy and if you can walk. Walking is generally a good thing.
