lower back pain

chemotheropy has damaged my kidneys and I am retaining fluiRAB.Therefore I keep putting on weight and my back aches whenever I start walking or even when I stand whilst washing or shaving and my legs start to buckle at the knees.
I am 66 years of age,had quite a few major operations,so I cannot do much exercise and all I am asking is to be able to walk a little without the pain,and get a little exercise that way

Where exactly does your back ache? Does the pain go down one or both legs? How long can you walk before the pain starts?
 
Pain in the lower back mainly left side,no pain in the legs just heavy when I walk
can only walk about 100 yRAB before pain starts and I am breathless
