I'm sorry you injured your back. However, I would definitely give yourself a few days off working off while your back heals. You could end up hurting yourself worse and end up in more pain. At this point alternating heat and ice your on your back (about 20 mins each) and taking ibuprofen will help reduce the inflammation and help you heal faster. But, definitely try to keep resting it until the pain is gone. I do think taking a walk would be OK. So, maybe you could just go out for a nice walk instead of real intense exercise?
